My sister was cleaning out some old bins of hers that she wanted to take to her new apartment and found the pieces to this quilt that she had started cutting out probably 10 years ago or so. Maybe even longer ago than that. She still loves horses just as much as ever, but she doesn't sew anymore so she said I could finish it if I wanted to. Which of course I did. 🙂 I appliqued, pieced and quilted it with a regular sewing machine. It's lap quilt size and has a flannel back so super nice for cuddling up with a book or watching a movie. I haven't decided whether I'll gift it back to her any old time or save it for part of her wedding present this summer.
